We're thrilled to share an exciting milestone.

We are proud to announce that our team was hand-selected to collaborate with the makeup department of the Vancouver Opera on their powerful production of Dead Man Walking by composer Jake Heggie and librettist Terrence McNally.

In this gripping, modern opera based on the true story and exploring themes of redemption, justice, and forgiveness, Canadian bass-baritone Daniel Okulitch took center stage as the death row inmate Joseph De Rocher. To bring authenticity and visual intensity to his character, we carefully airbrushed custom airbrush tattoos onto Daniel's arms, legs, and body, helping to transform him into the complex, hardened figure the role demands.

These intricate, realistic designs played a key supporting role in the visual storytelling, enhancing the raw emotional depth of the performance and contributing to one of the most talked-about productions of the Vancouver Opera Festival.

We're incredibly honored that our contribution caught the eye of Vancouver's premier arts and culture publication, The Georgia Straight. Our work along with stunning photography from the production was proudly featured on the cover of the magazine, shining a spotlight on the innovative intersection of airbrush artistry and world-class opera.

This partnership represents more than just a job for us, it's a celebration of creativity crossing boundaries, blending the precision of airbrush techniques with the dramatic power of live performance. Seeing our temporary tattoos become part of such a critically acclaimed, thought-provoking show (and then grace the cover of The Georgia Straight!) is a true highlight in INK Vancouver's journey.

A huge thank you to the Vancouver Opera team, Daniel Okulitch, and the entire creative crew for trusting us with this unique challenge. We're inspired to keep pushing the limits of what airbrush art can do—whether on skin for stage, events, or beyond.

Stay tuned for more collaborations, behind-the-scenes stories, and ways we're bringing bold, temporary ink to life across Vancouver and beyond!
